VestaPilot is made by Embay, LLC. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, because the app does very little on your behalf: it runs on your iPhone and talks to your own Vestaboard with your own key.
The demo board is free and always will be. It is a simulated board inside the app, and everything works against it: composing, posting, the queue, quiet hours, the daily cap, the history and the Siri shortcuts. No purchase and no hardware are needed.
Connecting VestaPilot to a real Vestaboard requires a purchase. That is the only thing behind the paywall.
Both subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged. Apple allows one introductory offer per subscription group per Apple Account, so the trial applies to whichever of the two you choose first.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the free trial ends. A subscription renews automatically at the price above unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period. You can manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Prices are shown in US dollars and may differ in your local storefront; the App Store shows the price you will actually pay before you confirm.
All three purchases support Family Sharing, so one purchase covers your family group. This is deliberate: a Vestaboard hangs on a shared wall, and the people in the house should not each have to pay for it.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, and so are refunds. We cannot issue one. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is not working, please email us first at support@vestapilot.com - most problems are a Read/Write key that needs regenerating, and we would rather fix it than have you pay for something that does not work.
There is no VestaPilot account and no VestaPilot server. We do not receive, store or process your calendar, your contacts, your location, your key or the messages you post. See the Privacy Policy. Because there is no service of ours in the path, there is no uptime for us to promise: if Vestaboard's API is down, or your board is offline, the app will tell you so and try again.
VestaPilot is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for anything that appears on, or fails to appear on, your board. It is a display on a wall; please do not rely on it for anything safety-critical.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
